WARNING
The content below is awaiting translation.
# General
Releasing and sharing various categories of torrents in U2 revolves around the following 2 basic consensuses:
# 1. PT Suitability Principle
Resource (aka torrents), its content and the structure of files and folders MUST be compatible with the PT (that is, P2P) environment. Before sharing, members should be sure to consider the following questions.
Is it easy for other members to download?
Example: Do not blindly seek for completeness by keeping the revised files in the content of torrent; No duplicate files. Is it easy for other members to seed?
Example: Avoid situations where members need to select part of the torrent content to download. Is it easy for other members to cross-seed?
Example: Do not modify the original torrent content and structure; Unzip the compressed videos to avoid repetitive occupation of disk space.
# 2. Sense of Responsibility
As the distributer of the uploaded torrent, the uploader must respect the original producer/uploader, and needs to have a sense of responsibility of the files distributed.
- Refrain from unauthorized file name, file content, etc.
- Observe the reprint/reupload precautions of the original producer/uploader.
- Be sure to provide sufficient seeding time and bandwidth to make sure the members downloading can complete the download. No trashing/cutting off seeding torrents without reason.
So before uploading, please think about whether the torrent satisfies the above 2 consensuses. The torrent you intend to release should be checked against the following considerations, including but not limited to:
- Regardless of torrents or subtitles, confirm their completeness and accuracy before sharing them to avoid errors, omissions, or multiple cases.
- Torrent content should avoid adding small files that are not conducive to seeding and should not include unnecessary files, such as introductory documents, self-uploading proofs, screenshots, etc.
- Whether there are duplicate files within the torrents, especially whether the compressed package and the decompressed files exist at the same time.
- Torrent folder names should use words or symbols with clear meanings presenting the content of the torrent; garbled file names shall be avoided.
# 3. Restrictions from Uploader
Uploaders are not encouraged, but still have the right to set restrictions.
The restrictions are composed of three elements: “applicable object”, “applicable conditions” and “exemption conditions”.
“Applicable object” can be organizations, groups, users and other entities whose identity can be verified on the Internet. Example:
✅ “Hoogle” website
✅ Foo subitile group
✅ User Alex
❌ Residents of 3rd New Tokyo City
❌ Hideyoshi gender users
✅ All human beings[1]
“Applicable conditions” may include any number of items from “redistribution”, “secondary processing”, “source labeling” and “restriction modification”. Example:
✅ Prohibit the use of this BDMV to create a BDRip
✅ Prohibit reproduction, reprinting or re-uploading
❌ Prohibit downloading
❌ Prohibit memes
✅ Prohibit not to mark the source of reprinting
✅ Prohibit to mark the source of reprinting
✅ No restrictions[2]
“Exemption conditions” may only include “separate application for permission” and may only be applied by “applicable object” for “applicable conditions”. Example:
✅ No exceptions
✅ Can apply for permission in Private Messages[3]
The restrictions should be easy to understand, as simple and clear as possible, and in languages widely supported by the site users and moderators, i.e., Chinese(Simplified/Traditional) and English.
For those restrictions who do not meet the above requirements, the moderators shall, at the time of offer processing / after the release of the torrent, impose an order to improve, force edit, reject the offer or delete the torrent, as appropriate. Repeated offenders or serious cases will be considered for warnings, revocation of Uploader user class, account bans, etc.
Violation of the restrictions from U2, and violations of the restrictions from other sites in U2, are subject to the “Reporting and Investigation System”, not the “Filing and Approval System”. In other words, you do not need to file before the act, but if you do violate the terms and conditions, you will be punished if you are reported and found. Example:
- If the original uploader prohibits the modification of the existing restrictions, but the reproduced publisher makes the modification and does not obtain individual consent through the "exemption conditions" element, the original publisher directly/indirectly reports the modification, and the moderators verify it and act.
Torrents with less restrictive restrictions have a higher priority against torrents with stricter restrictions when the torrents are the same conditions except restrictions. Specific judging of dupe or not still refer to whether self-produced, quality, sequential principle and other elements of comprehensive consideration.
# 4. Content Expression in Torrents and Comments
The content expression of the torrent itself and its comment area should be limited to the discussion of the torrent itself, irrelevant chatting and spamming, memes, and discussion of related torrents.
Uploaders are prohibited from using offensive expressions in torrent titles, small descriptions, descriptions, profiles, and other torrents’ content. It is also prohibited to use any joking expressions in the title of the torrent. Example:
✅ Resource description: "Prohibited to re-upload to/by XXX because I have a personal problem with him"
❌ Resource description: "Prohibited to re-upload to/by XXX, because he is not a good person"
❌ Resource description: "I wish Foo money-deceiving company to close down soon"
✅ Resource small description: "xxx is a lolicon"
❌ Resource title: "xxx is a lolicon"
For offers/torrents that do not meet the above requirements, the moderators shall, at the time of offer processing/resource release, impose an order to improve, force edit, reject the offer, or delete the resource, as appropriate. For repeated offenses or serious cases, consider warning, revoking the Uploader user class, disabling the account, etc.
For offers/torrents that do not meet the above requirements, if their offensive expressions go further and meet the criteria for personal attacks, the penalty scheme for personal attacks will be superimposed, such as warnings of different lengths, mutes, account bans, etc.
Commenters are prohibited from making offensive expressions in the torrent comment section. Example:
✅ "No EAC Log presented, could you please fill in?"
❌ "No EAC Log presented, who wants to download such low-quality stuff huh?”
❌ "You rubbish again come to submit offers, ****"
For comments that do not meet the above requirements, the moderators observed, or received a report, as appropriate, to impose an order to improve, delete comments processing. Repeated offenders or serious cases, consider warnings, disable accounts, etc.
For comments that do not meet the above requirements, if their offensive expression goes further and reaches the standard of personal attacks, superimposed on the punishment scheme for personal attacks, such as warnings of different lengths, mutes, account bans, etc.
If there is a need to deal with the dispute, the moderators will, depending on the intensity of the dispute, force both parties to move to the forum or other instant messenger to deal with the issue on their own.
The restrictions on expression in the comments section of this article are duplicated in the scope of the "Commenting Guidelines" on the rules page. In principle, the "Commenting Guidelines" is the goal and framework, and this article is a detailed description of some of the articles.
Current Torrent categories:
- BDMV: include BDISO, BDMV, REMUX. They are extracted from original Blu-ray discs without re-encoding.
- BDRip: videos(rips) re-encoded from BDMVs.

# Animation
# 1. Quality Requirements
I. Source Type: BDISO (i.e. BDMV), BDRip, R-BD, DVDISO, DVDRip (including R2JRAW, R3TRAW, etc.), and HDTVRAW and HDTVRip with a resolution higher than 720P. No exclusive format for online video websites and no online video repacking.
Unless there is a demand for it (referring to a certain anime but unable to find a version that satisfies the types above; the same below), other lower qualities are not considered.
II. Coding format: Including H.264, VC-1, DivX / XviD, MPEG-2 and other coding formats. No rv encoding. No secondary encoding rip for small bitrate.
III. Packing format: HDRaw formats such as ts, tp, vob; formats that support HD level encoding such as avi, mkv, wmv, ogm, mp4.
Unless there is a demand for it, other non-HD packing formats are not considered. Crack down on personally released rm, rmvb, pseudo avi, pseudo mkv, flv.
IV. Scope of release: Except for the anime discs, movies, U2-Rip group and super long series of animation torrents, other torrents need to be released after the completion of the work, in the smallest unit of season. For super long series of animation, if there are obvious chapters in the plot, they can be published as a collection of plot chapters (if no special circumstances, the Japanese Wikipedia shall prevail); if there is no obvious chapters in the plot, then they can be released by packing by year/season.
# 2. Title Format Requirements
Template
[CHN & ENG & JPN Title][Source Type][Resolution][Broadcasting type: Numbers of Episodes/Volumes][Encoding and Packaging][Subtitles and Production Info]
Detailed explanation:
- To unify the overall effect of the layout, only use
[]for information separation. - Commonly, some works have multiple names of Chinese translation, such as
惊爆危机/全金属狂潮,暖阳涂鸦/向阳素描... In such cases, use "/" to list them separately for easy searching. In addition, better unify the text as Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese. [CHN & ENG & JPN Title]shall be filled in the format of[Common Chinese translation (can be ignored if not found)][English or Romaji (required)][Japanese original name (required)]. For works like CLANNAD, KANON, the original Japanese name is (in English and is) the most common name, their name can be filled in only one original work name like[CLANNAD].- Source Type shall be filled in the medium type such as R2JRAW, R3TRAW, DVDRip, HDTVRip, TVRip.
- Resolution is an important reference for videos. Multiplication sign shall be represented by a lowercase "x". In general, HDTVRips should have a resolution no less than 1280x720.
[Broadcast type: Numbers of Episodes/Volumes]:
Add [Fin] mark here to judge the work's end.
"Broadcast type" is the type of the work itself. Such as Gekijouban (Suggested:[MOVIE]),[OVA],[OAD]and so on. The default is[TV].
If it's a DVD with Tokuten, it is usually divided by volume, and the corresponding Tokuten should be strictly classified into the correct number of volumes. Format for reference:[Vol.1-Vol.X][Vol.X-Vol.Y][Vol.Y-Vol.Z Fin]
If it's a TV, or it does not contain / contain few Tokuten(s) (e.g. only NCOP&ED are there), it is usually divided by episodes. As most animations have 2-digit numbers of episodes, we use 2-digit format too. That is, the first episode goes to 01. Some long-term serial animations which have over 100 eposides can use 3-digit format. Format for reference:[001-XXX][XX-YY][YY-ZZ Fin].
For Blu-Ray Disc Box,[BD-BOX DISCxY]can be used.
For cases not included above, please refer to U2's existing titles of similar torrents for various filling methods of title.
- Encoding and packing information requires you to briefly and accurately label the main video stream encoding, audio stream encoding and packing format of the media. Specific coding information should be listed in the resource introduction.
- Subtitles & production information includes two parts,
One is the producer. If it is a subtitle group, mark the subtitle group ID, such as "dmhy"; if it is a personal rip or network rip group, mark the corresponding mark, such as "QYQ", "gaoshu", "Yousei-raws", etc.; if it is an anonymous fan group, you can mark Fansub or leave this item blank; if it is the original subtitle of Taiwan version, mark "R3" or "Taiwan version" ("台版").
The second is the language and packaging form of the subtitles, marked with[简体内嵌][繁简内封][英文外挂](Simplified Chinese Embedded, SC & TC sub stream in file, or English sub plug-in). If the resource does not contain subtitles, the subtitle item in the title can be omitted.
# 3. File Requirements
- The archive retains the original file name. The production version info contained in the original file name MUST be retained (the so-called v2, v3, etc.). If the original file name includes hash information, it must also be retained.
The definition of "original file name"
For subtitle group works or personal works, the original file name is naturally the file name used for the initial release.
File name should not be modified for files downloaded directly with Japanese P2P tools.
- When releasing, please keep or reflect the original producer/publisher information of the torrent to show respect.
- Please be sure to disassemble the original Blu-ray disc and release it into a BDMV structure (except those involving 3D, MGVC and other technologies); please try to release the original DVD disc in DVDISO format.

# Lossless Music
# 1. Categories and Quality Requirements
In principle, the release of all music torrents related to ACG is welcome, whether it is OST or even doujin work.
Please be sure to state the credible source of the resource (self-rip/reprinting/self-purchasing Hi-Res) in the small description or description of the torrent, otherwise it will not be approved.
For albums ripped with EAC/XLD that were released before 2006, log files are not required; for albums from 2006 to 2007, whether there are log files is an important audit item; albums since 2007 must have corresponding log file attached.
The format of music needs to comply with high-quality lossless formats, namely wav, ape, tak, flac and other recognized lossless formats, but any form of lossy compression format is not accepted.
Encourage the release of collection resources, and temporarily don't require that all albums in the collection resources have corresponding log files; members are not encouraged to reprint a large number of single albums, but members are encouraged to use tools to rip genuine CDs.
When using EAC/XLD to rip a CD, it is recommended to set the correct drive offset. Whether the correct drive offset is set will be an audit item.
Drive Offset Lookup: http://www.accuraterip.com/driveoffsets.htm (opens new window)
There is no rigid requirement that there must be a scan/cover in the music resource, but whether there is a scan/cover, and the image quality of the scan/cover will become an audit item.
It is recommend that torrents have scans in lossless formats, such as PNG, BMP, TIFF, etc.
It is recommended to provide UTF-8 encoded CUE files of the CD albums ripped in entire track mode. Whether to provide UTF-8 CUE files will be an audit item.
For conversions about CUE file encoding, please check here (opens new window).
There are no special requirements for the encapsulation of music resources. Users can determine whether they are encapsulated or not, and ensure that the files are fine and complete. If it is a compressed package format (such as rar format), a list of files in the compressed package is required and reviewed in accordance with the same rules.
In addition, for the same CD, the priority of self-rip is higher than reprinting, that is, if there is a reprinted file, the self-rip file can be passed; if there is a self-rip torrent, reprinting or self-rip will not be passed unless there is a significant quality improvement. Passing the new torrent will not delete the old torrent.
Obvious quality improvements include: supplementing scans, supplementing logs, correcting wrong audio, and other situations deemed by the management team.
For Hi-Res audio source, self-purchasing follows self-rip situations above.
In particular, for paid downloadable Hi-Res audio sources, cue and log files are not required. Self-purchased resources are compared to CD self-rip and enjoy the same treatment.
# 2. Title Format Requirements
First comes the release of single album:
[EAC/XLD][Release Date][Album Type][Artist/Company][Album Name][Product No.][File Formats]
[EAC/XLD]:
If the music is clearly ripped by EAC/XLD,[EAC/XLD]should be added to the header of title. Don't add it without judging! Please be responsible for the torrents you upload![Release Date]:
Unified to 6-digit format, in YYMMDD, such as: 080917, 991224, 880823, etc.[Album Type]:
Based on the principle of accurate and simple classification, commercial CDs are divided into OST, ALBUM, SINGLE, and DRAMA; the classification of Doujin CDs is subject to the exhibition. The details are as follows:
Original Soundtrack of animations and games are uniformly marked as OST;
Animation, game OP, ED, featured songs, character CD, etc. are uniformly marked as SINGLE;
Album of collection and ImageAlbum are marked as ALBUM;
DRAMA and Radio CD are marked as DRAMA;
Doujin albums are marked uniformly as the number of sessions at the exhibition. If they are sold on CM, M3, and Reitaisai, they are uniformly marked with CXX, M3-XX or 例大祭 X; X is the number of sessions held number;
Note: In Oricon (of Japan), an album with more than 4 title songs are ALBUM (note that it is the title song, not counting remixes), and 4 and less are SINGLE. For albums which is difficult to distinguish between categories, categorize them based on this standard classification (excluding Doujin works and works clearly classified as SINGLE or ALBUM).
[Artist/Company]:
If the CD has a clear artist or composer, fill in the name of the artist or composer; if the CD does not have a clear artist, composer, or multi-artist or composer, fill in the CD’s issuing company (game-related CD Correspond to the corresponding game publishing company) or leave it blank. Artists or publishing companies are given priority in their names in Japan (artists such as Tamura Yuri, companies such as Lantis, CIRCUS, leaf, etc.).[Album Name]:
The album name is still based on the original Japanese name, and the album cover is the standard. At the same time, if it is an OST album, the original Japanese name オリジナルサウンドトラック can be replaced by OST. Others such as OP, ED, etc. can be deduced by analogy.
If there are some common English words expressed in Japanese katakana, please use English vocabulary to express (such as コクター corresponds to collector, etc., see the appendix for details)
Please note that the album name should be based on the cover/side cover as much as possible, and other information such as animation name and limited edition should be written in the small description as much as possible.[Product No.]:
If you know the product no., then mark it. In principle, mark the product no. as much as possible. Some CDs' product no. is difficult to find or does not exist, thus you can omit it.[File Formats]:
The requirements are 1. clear and 2. accurate. The format of the music should be stated, capitalization is not required. If the track is divided, it can be described in parentheses. LOG represents the log file of EAC, BK can represent all pictures related to the album (including jacket, booklet, etc.), or png, jpg, bmp and other formats to directly explain, CUE stands for the mark file of the entire track ripped CD (inCUE for the embedded CUE), and ISO stands for the image file ripped of the disc. Specific examples are [WAV+CUE+log+png], [TAK+inCUE+log+BK], [FLAC(分轨)+CUE+LRC], [APE+CUE+ISO]. Pay attention to the signs of each information in the example writing order, but the marking order is not mandatory.
The above information fields are not omitted in principle, and can be deleted as appropriate according to the specific circumstances, but the three information fields of "release date", "album name" and "file type" must be retained.
Finally, give some examples:
[EAC][080227][ALBUM][田村ゆかり][十六夜の月、カナリアの恋][WAV+CUE+LOG+PNG]
[EAC][040428][SINGLE][GAINAX][这丑陋又美丽的世界OP&ED][APE+CUE+LOG+BK]
[EAC][900530][OST][鷺巣詩郎][不思议海之娜迪娅(蓝宝石之谜)OST Vol.1][TYCY-5136][APE+CUE+LOG+BK]
[XLD][050223][ALBUM][さくら(丹下桜)][Cherry A La Mode CollectionⅠ][FLAC+CUE+LOG]
For collection of musics, the format is as follows:
[EAC/XLD][合集][Album Type/Belongs][Collection Keyword/Name][Album Count]
[EAC/XLD]:
The requirements for marking or not are the same as above. If most of the files are ripped by EAC/XLD in the collection, you can add this tag as appropriate.[合集]:
Fixed tag, indicating that this torrent contains multiple albums. It should be noted that there are albums containing two CDs or more, but they are still released as one album, which belongs to the category of single album release.[Album Type/Belongs]:
Optional, if the collection resource has a unified resource classification (such as SINGLE, OST, DVD special CD, Doujin, etc., please refer to the single album release rules above), it can be filled in.[Collection Keyword/Name]:
It refers to the standard by which the albums in collection were collected, such as [City Hunter DVD-BOX Special CD Vol.1-Vol.6], [Sugano Yoko Composing Album Collection]. The content of this entry can be freely used by users, but it must be clear, concise and accurate. The collection name can use different translations at the same time, but please pay attention to the length of the title and separate it with "[]", such as [Key社无损音乐合集][Key Sounds Label Collection].[Album Count]:
Write about the number of albums included in this collection, such as [CDx6].
The above information fields are not omitted in principle, and can be deleted as appropriate depending on the specific circumstances, but the information field [Collection Keyword/Name] must be retained.
Finally, some examples for collections:
[EAC][合集][同人][marble sky records系类][9张]
[EAC][合集][声优][丹下桜 Cherry A La Mode Collection][2张]
[XLD][合集][相聚一刻动画原声音乐集][12张]
[XLD][合集][LOST CHILD OST side-a side-b side-x side-z][4张]
Finally, the release of Hi-Res audio:
[Hi-Res][Release Date][Album Type][Artist/Company][Album Name][Product No.][Quality][File Formats]
[Hi-Res]:
MUST have this tag for Hi-Res releasing![Release Date]:
Unified to 6-digit format, in YYMMDD, such as: 080917, 991224, 880823, etc.[Album Type]:
Based on the principle of accurate and simple classification, it is usually divided into OST, ALBUM, SINGLE, DRAMA, etc. For details, please refer to the above single album release rules.[Artist/Company]:
If there is a clear artist or composer, fill in the name of the artist or composer; if there is no clear artist or composer, or if it is a multi-artist or composer, fill in the publishing company (for games related to the corresponding game publishing company) or do not fill in. Please refer to the above single album release rules.[Album Name]:
The album name should based on the official Japanese original name, and the album cover is the standard. For details, please refer to the above single album release rules.[Product No.]:
If you know the product no., then mark it. In principle, mark the product no. as much as possible. Some CDs' product no. is difficult to find or does not exist, thus you can omit it.[Quality]:
The quality of Hi-Res audio, such as 24Bit/96Khz.[File Formats]:
The requirements are clear and accurate. The music format must be stated, capitalization is not required, and there are multiple types of files that can be marked, such as [FLAC], [TAK+cover], [FLAC+incue+PDFlrc], but the order of marking is not mandatory.
The above information fields are not omitted in principle, and can be deleted as appropriate according to the specific circumstances, but the four information fields of Release Date, Album Name, Quality and File Formats must be retained.
Finally, give a few examples for Hi-Res:
[Hi-Res][140129][ALBUM][TVアニメ「WHITE ALBUM2」ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK][KIGA21-22][24bit 96khz][FLAC+cover]
[Hi-Res][130807][ALBUM][上原れな][The Brilliant Best~タイアップコレクション~][KIGA18-19][24bit/96khz][FLAC+inCUE+BK+PDFlrc]
# 3. Description Format
The format of a single album release introduction must include the following two parts and be one of the important review items:
Cover
The cover requires a picture. The quality of the picture is not rigid, but it is recommended to be above 500x500. It is better to use the BK attached to the resource. If it is a Doujin album, etc. and the cover is really hard to find, you can consider omitting it.Album Description
The introduction of this album is the official information of the album's release (available from the official release website or other Amazon websites), including the release date, content introduction, track information, etc. of the album.
In particular, for the release of the collection, "cover" is not mandatory, but the introduction information must be accurate, and the album list in the collection should be listed as much as possible.
In addition, publishers can write other content they need, such as "reprint instructions", etc. This is not a rigid requirement.

# Manga (Comic)
# 1. Quality Requirements
Manga quality requirements are based on scanning quality, completeness and publication quality as the main considerations.
Generally speaking, it is better to have a unified publishing source and a person who scans for comic. Taking into account the actual situation of current Internet sharing status, when releasing comic, integrity takes priority over unity. It is allowed to mix volumes from different sources, such as tankōbon, Chinese-translated version, and electronic (downloaded) version, to ensure the integrity (continuity) of the work at the time of releasing.
In the case of mixed release, only one version of the volume of the same content and different sources can be kept. Generally speaking, the formally published tankōbon is preferred, the translated version of the tankōbon is the second choice, and the Chinese-translated single-chapter serialization of the translation group is the last choice. However, considering the different quality of scanned photos, the publisher may consider it as appropriate.
In view of the huge differences in the scanning quality of comics due to the age, the person who scanned the image, etc., there are no specific regulations on the image quality for the time being. However, the cover image and the actual image of the main content must be attached when releasing for the reference of users and moderators.
When releasing, please form a compressed package of image files in volume units (recommended to use common compression formats such as rar/cbr and zip/cbz). The length of the segments can be adjusted according to the actual situation.
It is allowed to release electronic (downloaded) comics (including but not limited to azw3, mobi, epub and other formats), but it is not allowed to release the electronic book version made by secondary packaging of image files.
It is not allowed to release comics downloaded from pirated online comic sites.
The released comics must ensure the integrity of the files, avoid missing pages, unzip errors, etc.
Encourage the releasing of self-scanned or self-purchased electronic comics, and allow single-book releasing. In other cases, in principle, it is forbidden to release in single copies.
# 2. Title Format Requirements
[Manga Name][Author][Volume Count][Fin or not][Press/Translate Group][Others]
[Manga Name]
The actual name of the cover of the comic shall prevail. Traditional Chinese do not need to be converted to Simplified. Taking into account the differences in translation between Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan and Mainland China, mainland translations can be added with "/", such as [篮球飞人/灌篮高手][Author]
The author’s name is also subject to the name given in the tankōbon book. Traditional Chinese do not be converted to Simplified. If there is a Japanese kana, it will be reserved, such as [島崎讓], [天王寺きつね]; if there are multiple authors, the authors are connected with the "×", generally the illustrator is listed at the end, such as [矢立肇×有贺ヒトシ], [手塚治虫×浦沢直树], [堀田由美×小畑健][Volume Count]
e.g. [Vol.01-Vol.12][Fin or not]
If the manga is finished and all the tankōbons are in the torrent, then add [完结]. If not, use [未完结][Press/Translate Group]
- For tankōbons with a generally uniform format, you can specify the original publishing house, the publishing area and the Chinese version of the publishing house, such as [集英社授权东立台湾中文版], [秋田书店授权长鸿台湾中文版]; for Hong Kong mangas, just write the publishing house directly, such as [玉皇朝出版社]
- For manga works from translation groups with a generally uniform version, translation info shall be filled, such as [AKANA汉化]
- For a mixture of tankōbons and translated works, you can briefly fill in according to the actual situation, such as [台版+汉化], [东立+汉化], etc.
- [Others]
Optional and is used to supplement other important information of the torrent, such as the release version (library version, full version, etc.), the person who scanned the image, etc. If it is a self-purchased electronic version, you can also fill in [自购].

# Subtitle
Please PAY ATTENTION
The compressed archive of subtitles shouldn't carry any file unrelated to subtitles (except for those documents describing subtitles making), such as URLs, and especially malware. Once found, you'll be banned!
TIP
Due to the complexity of subtitles, the moderators reserves considerable discretionary power. Therefore, in the case that this rule is not covered, please be sure to post in the forum first to avoid disputes.
# 1. General Requirements
- The following content is a supplement of "Rules for Subtitles" part in general rules.
- Uploading same subtitles repeatedly is not allowed.
"same" here refers: subtitles that match same video source, made by same person/group, have same language and match Simplified/Traditional.
- When uploading subtitles, the same version of the subtitles (including subtitles in different languages) around the same torrent theme must be packed and uploaded.
TIP
It is forbidden to upload subtitles of the same animation in units of one or a few episodes;
If the subtitle production of the animation resource is not yet complete, there are the following situations:
- The animation has been completed for a long time, but the subtitles are not finished. In this case, incomplete subtitles can be packed and uploaded. If the unfinished subtitles are finally completed, the original uploaded incomplete subtitles will be deleted, but the original publisher’s bonus will not be affected.
- The animation has been completed, the subtitle production is in progress, and there is no sign of unfinished. In this case, incomplete subtitles are temporarily not allowed to be uploaded.
- The animation is an unfinished work such as a new anime, and the subtitles involve manual work such as hand-copying, please better upload it after completion, or contact the moderators before uploading.
- Members must ensure that the uploaded subtitles match the corresponding resources before uploading. At the same time, confirm that the subtitle compression package is complete and consistent to avoid multiple packing, missing packing, and wrong packing.
- For the same animation, the Traditional and Simplified subtitles produced by the same producer/group must be packed and uploaded. If the same member continuously uploads the traditional and simplified version of the same subtitle, it will be dealt with accordingly.
"same subtitles" hereby refers to: subtitles that match same video source (or come from the same torrent), made by same person/group, have same language and does not distinguish Simplified/Traditional.
- Please keep the original subtitle production team or producer information in the Plug-in structure or external subtitles, or attach the subtitle group information in text.
- It is allowed to upload subtitles of different producers/groups or different languages for the same animation. Be sure to comply with the above terms when uploading.
Definition of producer/group:
In addition to subtitle groups and individual producers, it also includes Taiwan version and (possibly) pirated subtitles.
# 2. Naming Requirements
[CHN&ENG&JPN Title][Video Source][Type Episodes/Volumes Count][Subtitle Format][Producer/Group Info & Language][Others]
In the naming requirements, [CHN&ENG&JPN Title][Video Source][Type Episodes/Volumes Count] can refers to "Title Format Requirements" of animation. Here we emphasize these points:
[Subtitle Format]: Including[ASS],[SAA],[SUB+IDX], etc.[Producer/Group Info & Language]: Respect the labor of the subtitle producer, please be sure to add the information of the subtitle producer/group. The subtitle group can be expressed in Chinese or English. If the Chinese subtitles producer/group information cannot be found, fansub can be used as a representative. Subtitles in other languages, producer/group information can be omitted as appropriate.
Subtitle languages tagging forms include "Traditional", "Simplified", "Traditional and Simplified", etc.
Example of Naming
[零之使魔][Zero no tsukaima][ゼロの使い魔][DVDRip][TV 01-13 Fin][ASS][HKG&X2简繁]
[最后的大魔王][Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou][いちばんうしろの大魔王][HDTVRip][01-12 Fin][ASS][澄空学园简中]
# Blu-Ray
TIP
The specific release rules of Blu-ray have not been able to form a completely unanimous consensus due to the wide range of issues involved. The following rules include the mandatory part and the recommended part. Recently discussion post for referrence (opens new window)
1. BDISO, BDMV and REMUX
1.1. Untouched Blu-ray can be released in single volume.
1.2. Except for Blu-rays with 3D / MGVC technologies or other special cases, untouched Blu-ray must be released in BDMV format and structure.
1.3. A Remux is allowed to be released in U2 when the untouched Blu-Ray is not uploaded.
2. Single Volume Release
2.1. When releasing untouched Blu-Ray, please use BDMV format and structure and ensure that the single volume folder can be directly played by TMT, PD and other common Blu-Ray players.
Exceptions: Empty folders, MGVC formats, etc. (Please add more examples here)
2.2. If the torrent is a repost, the structure is allowed to be modified to ensure it can be played. And the modification details needs to be listed in the torrent description. If the modification involves original small files, these files shall be attached for easier cross-seeding.
(Also it means you can do not modify the original torrent and repost directly. We discuss specific solutions for specific torrents.)
3. Dupe of Blu-Ray
3.1. If the originally released torrent has some issues, a new torrent can be released depending on the actual need and the offer voting status.
3.2. When a dupe Blu-Ray already exists, U2娘@SHARE's torrents can be released and the old torrents won't be affected.
3.3. When a dupe Blu-Ray already exists, a torrent better than the old torrent can be released depending on the actual need and the offer voting status.
3.3.1. After the new torrent has been allowed, if the old torrent has uncorrectable problem, it'll be trashed.
3.3.2. If the old torrent doesn't have uncorrectable problem, but it's no longer necessary, then it'll be set "not be displayed on page", or it'll be kept.
"no longer necessary": the new torrent contains all the content of old torrent, thus can fully replace the old one, AND is not a torrent in a pack, AND is not a torrent from U2娘@SHARE.
"uncorrectable problem" includes not limited to: confirmable incorrect ripping method or software, issues with m2ts rip(blurred, etc.), uncorrectable structure error or loss, uncorrectable command error or loss.
4. Repost of Blu-Ray
4.1. If there are minor issues in the reposted Blu-Ray, you can fix it. And, attach the diff file in U2 attachment.
5. Packing of Blu-Ray
5.1. Non self-ripped packing shall keep the original structure of single volume releasing. And please try to add scans, CD, CUE, etc. contents based on the existing files.
(Note: Current rules have rules related to packing, and here is supplementary rules.)
